First of all, thank you for providing Malcolm with a phenomenal academic
year!  His academic, emotional, and social growth at St. James' Christian Academy has been all we hoped for and more.  We were drawn to SJCA because our child would have the opportunity to experience academic growth in the context of spiritual development; we stayed because he is thriving in the fertile & nurturing environment the SJCA family has created.   We are especially thankful that you are able to recognize and appreciate Malcolm's innate intelligence and creativity which have, in the past, been overshadowed by his speech and writing difficulties.  We are ever so grateful that you used your professional assessment and skills to try to identify the cause(s) of his difficulties and are working with him to help him move forward instead of punishing him and causing him to stagnate or
regress.  Because of your dedication and research, we now have the language and tools to effectively approach other professionals who may be able to
work with us to help Malcolm manage his speech and writing difficulties.   We also thank you for the monthly parent meetings.  They have offered incredible support in ways you may not have anticipated.  And, they have
given us an opportunity to better know those who we have entrusted to help us raise and care for our child.

From Dominique Wright:

 After home schooling our child he was significantly academically advanced beyond his age peers.  We feared that in a traditional public school setting he would be unchallenged and restless.  Even after he was accepted to a magnet school we still felt uncomfortable with this choice for him.  We prayed and sought God's will for his life at this important educational juncture and developmental milestone.  We came across the flyer for St James Christian Academy and immediately interviewed the Director of the program.  Not only would the school provide accelerated learning but the school would be reinforcing our values as Christians in the daily curriculum.  Without question we gave up our slot in the magnet school and enrolled our son in this program.  Educationally the program constantly changes to meet the accomplishments he has made to keep him engaged and challenged.  We are confident that this was the right choice at the right time in our son's life and this year will leave a lifelong impression on his academic and spiritual development.
