While we place a great emphasis on academics, we place an even greater emphasis on tending to the needs of the whole child.
This is our third year of operation. We are happy to report that students have shown outstanding progress academically, emotionally, and spiritually.
With a capacity of 30 students, we are not "changing the world." However, we are changing the world for the children who attend our school.
While our school is tuition-based, we have been able to offer many scholarships based on need. If you want this kind of individualized, Christian education for your child, please come see us!

Dear Christian parent:
We are so glad you found us!
St. James' Christian Academy was founded because we believe that, in order to be successful in life, children need two basic things:
1) Individualized attention from caring adult role models
2) Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of their lives.
For many years, as a teacher in the public school system, I became increasingly frustrated by the fact that I could not give my students either of these most precious gifts.
With the encouragement and support of St. James' Church in New Haven, the Lord made my dream come true: to open a school where inner-city children would be equipped with the
wisdom, knowledge, and skills they need to become well-balanced, academically successful, faithful Christian people.
